Introduction
Through the completion of this game, students will be able to understand the basics of probability.

Objectives
In this game, students will make predictions by observing the probabilities of rolling different sums of dice.

Standards
9.0 Common Core - Data Analysis, Statistics, and Probability
9.7 - Draw conclusions involving uncertainty by using hands-on and technology-based simulation for estimating probabilities and gathering data to make inferences and decisions.

Purpose of Game
The purpose of this game is to have students make predictions based on the probability of rolling two dice and getting an expected sum. Students will then decide which numbers, 2 through 12, to put their markers on. Thee students will be asked to base their decisions on the probability of landing on one of the numbers.

Objective of Game
The objective of the game is to remove all of your markers from the game board before your opponent.

Rules
In this game, students will be playing with a partner. They will take turns rolling two standard dice and summing the dice together. The students will place their 11 markers on the game board, 2 through 12, where they believe is the highest probability of rolling. To begin, each player will roll one of the dice with the player rolling the higher number going first.

The players will take turns rolling the dice. If the number they roll is a number they have their markers on, they can take off one of their markers. Then the other player goes. The game continues as long as each player has markers on the board. When a player has removed all of their markers, their opponent gets one more roll. If on this roll, the player has their board cleared, they go to sudden death. Each player puts one marker on a number. Then each player takes turns rolling their dice until they have cleared the board. This will continue until one person clears their board and on the ensuing roll their opponent does not clear their marker.
